Hi Wizards! Math Wiz is a competitive card game that allows kids to work on their times tables in a magical way. This game is designed for two to four players and is estimated to take around 60 minutes. Math Wiz is intended for children who are around the 3rd and 4th grade levels of math, and it is designed to be easily accessible and playable in a classroom environment. There are two different kinds of cards, Runes and Spells. The runes are numbers 2 through 12 that are kept in your hand so your opponent can’t see. The Spells are two or three digit numbers (from 14 to 144) that are placed in the center of the playing area and can be reached by multiplying two rune cards together. Players will choose two runes from their hand to multiply together to try to get as close to the number on the spell card as possible. If a player’s rune cards multiply closest to the number on the spell card, then they collect the spell card. The spell card will have an advantage on it, which can be used in the subsequent rounds. Whichever player has the most spell cards, used or unused, by the end of the game wins!

ACCESSIBILITY: This game can be played without the materials attached below. A deck of standard poker cards can be used as rune cards and spell cards can be made by cutting up pieces of paper and writing numbers and advantages on them.
